Ride It.
Mean It.
Share It.

We're not looking for the biggest following. We're looking for riders who show up to the group ride, run the local series, and actually care what their kit is made of.

01 — The deal

What You Get

Straightforward, and no fine print. If something changes, you hear it from us first.

01

Your Own Kit

A full custom kit built to your design, on us, every season you're with us. Jersey and bibs at minimum, with layers and accessories depending on where and when you ride.

02

A Code To Share

A personal discount code for teammates and followers, plus 10% of what it brings in. No quotas, no minimum spend, no pressure to post.

03

Real Input

You see fabrics and cuts before they launch. The cargo pockets on the Droptail bibs exist because three ambassadors asked for them in the same month.

They have taken my input and put it live in the product, and faster than I thought possible. That's not something most brands do.

02 — The ask

What We Ask

Nothing that gets in the way of riding. If it starts feeling like a job, we've done it wrong.

  • Ride in your Volt kit and be honest about it
  • A handful of posts across the season — quality over volume
  • Send us photos we can use, always credited to you
  • Tell us what's working and what isn't
  • Represent Volt well at races and group rides

03 — The year

How A Season Runs

From the day you're accepted to the end-of-season debrief.

Month 1

Onboarding

We get your measurements, talk through your riding, and design your kit with you. Fit kit ships before anything is produced.

Month 2

Kit Arrives

Your season kit lands. We'll ask for a few photos once you've actually ridden in it — not the day it arrives.

Season

Ride & Share

Race, ride, and post when you have something honest to say. Your code goes live for teammates and followers.

Season End

Debrief

We ask what held up and what didn't. This feedback goes straight into next season's line.

04 — The crew

Current Ambassadors

Twenty-four riders across nine states. Here are six of them.

“I've worn kit that lasted one summer. Mine's on year three and the graphics haven't cracked.”

Gravel · Boulder, CO

“Two hundred miles of washboard is an honest test. The Excursion chamois is the reason I finished.”

Second season

VOLT Priya Raghavan — portrait

“Loose fit that doesn't flap. Whoever cut the Amp jersey has actually ridden a bike.”

Cyclocross · Portland, OR

“Belgian mud, sixty degrees of temperature swing in a season, one skinsuit. Still holding.”

First season

VOLT Alexis Okafor — portrait

Road · Tucson, AZ

“I bring six teammates a year to Volt. They stay because the fit kit means nobody guesses.”

Third season

“First real kit I've owned that wasn't a hand-me-down. I actually want to be seen in it.”

05 — Apply

Join The Program

Applications open twice a year. Tell us about your riding, not your analytics — though we'll take those too.

  • We read every application ourselves
  • You'll hear back either way within three weeks
  • No follower minimum — local matters more than large
  • Current round closes October 31

Optional — we care more about riding

We'll never share your details. One follow-up email, then a decision.

06 — Questions

Before You Apply

Do I need a certain follower count?

No. We've turned down accounts with fifty thousand followers and taken riders with eight hundred. What matters is whether you're actually part of a riding community — a shop ride, a race series, a league, a club. Local reach beats broad reach every time.

How much does the kit cost me?

Nothing. Ambassadors receive a full custom kit each season — jersey and bibs at minimum, with layers and accessories depending on your climate and discipline. Additional pieces are available at ambassador pricing.

What do I actually have to post?

We ask for a handful of posts across the season, not a content calendar. A race photo, an honest note about a piece you've been riding, a story from a group ride. If it starts feeling like homework, tell us and we'll change it.

How long is the commitment?

One season, renewed by mutual agreement. If it isn't working for either of us, we part ways and you keep the kit.

Can my whole team apply?

Teams should look at our team store program instead — it's built for groups and gets everyone kitted at a better price. The ambassador program is for individual riders.

When do applications open?

Twice a year: October for the road and gravel season, and June for cyclocross and winter. Applications submitted outside those windows are held for the next round.
